Get Started - UPMC | EHR Research Recruitment Service

UPMC's EHR Research Recruitment Service was designed to help researchers to recruit patients who more accurately match a study's eligibility criteria. We use de-identified patient health records to determine which patients match best.

This is done with the help of the Cohort Discovery Query and Analysis Tool that you will use to run a query on de-identified patient data from a data warehouse, which includes demographics, diagnoses, lab results, and medications prescribed.

This service is regulatory-compliant.

Getting Started

Request the service, by filling out the form with the study title, PI's full name, SSO (single sign-on) e-mail (Pitt or UPMC), phone number, institution, study contact's full name, phone number, and SSO e-mail (Pitt or UPMC)—if the study contact is not the PI
We will register your study with the service and you will receive an e-mail invitation to access your study and begin filling out the details
